What to Expect at the LACES, Inc. Orange Beach Summer CPC Assessment Review

June 24-26, 2022

Orange Beach, Alabama

Prepare for the CPC Assessment With Us

The LACES, Inc. 2022 Orange Beach Summer CPC Assessment Review will be an in-depth, interactive pathophysiology review course (complete with a practice exam) to prepare for the NBCRNA’s mandatory Continued Professional Certification (CPC) Assessment that is designed to be fun and accessible for CRNAs of any age or experience level—set on one of the country’s most beautiful beaches.

The Scoop on the CPC Assessment

The CPC Assessment became available to take online beginning in August 2021 and is required for CRNAs to take once every 8-year recertification cycle. Most CRNAs will take their first CPC Assessment either in the 2020-2024 or 2021-2025 CPC cycles depending on their certification schedule. The CPC Assessment is a performance standard assessment, not a pass/fail exam, that will assess your knowledge in four core areas of nurse anesthesia practice:

  • Airway Management
  • Applied Clinical Pharmacology
  • Human Physiology and Pathophysiology
  • Anesthesia Equipment, Technology, and Safety

The 150-question CPC Assessment is closed book and must be completed within a three-hour timeframe. It can be taken any time in your second 4-year cycle. If the overall performance standard is not met, the domains where remediation is needed will be identified and a minimum of one additional Class A credit in each of those will need to be taken. Our goal for this CPC Assessment review course is to help attendees feel prepared, confident and ready to tackle the CPC Assessment.

What to Expect at This Seminar

The LACES, Inc. 2022 Orange Beach Summer CPC Assessment Review focuses on a pathophysiology review to prepare attendees for the CPC Assessment. At the beginning of the seminar, attendees will receive a 150-question practice exam that will be self-graded at the end of the conference as faculty guide attendees through each question and explain the correct answers. Below you will find an outline of how the seminar will flow.

How We Plan to Make an In-Depth Pathophysiology Review Fun

Since 1990, LACES has been in the business of making CRNA continuing education fun. This in-depth pathophysiology review is no different! To keep this seminar as engaging and interactive as possible, we have selected two of our most highly-rated speakers of all time:

Dru Riddle, PhD, DNP, CRNA, FAAN and Garry Brydges, PhD, DNP, MBA, CRNA, ACNP-BC, FAAN.

Drs. Brydges and Riddle are highly qualified to lead this important review and have a knack for teaching complex matters in ways that are easy to understand. When they have spoken at past LACES conferences, their evaluations are unanimously stellar.

Meet Our Speakers
